Here is a 48′ x 140′ x 18′ Storage Building for a local shed builder. When you need protected space at a reasonable cost – nothing beats a pole building. This one has a big 20′ wide by 18′ high split sliding door to access the space. Sliding doors cost less than overheads and maintenance-wise, there’s not much that can really go wrong with them. In a manufacturing facility such as this, the doors would stay open much of the day and get closed up overnight. Slider doors don’t seal as well as garage doors, but they do a nice job in unheated applications where cost is a priority.
This building also employs the use of Clear Sidelight Panels. These are used in place of the metal siding to allow light to pass through which is a great choice is you’re not wanting to run electric to your building. The Flush Eave design (No Overhang) can still have gutters mounted to it if the owner were to decide to add them later on down the road because Fetterville Pole Buildings includes a continuous run of solid 2 x 6 blocking between the truss heels just for this reason. We’re always looking out ahead and we want every experience that you have with your pole building to be a great one!
